The young man half turned at Simon's exasperated words, then kept moving back toward the store. "I forgot something."
Rafe eyed the supplies they'd purchased for the holiday. "Forgot what?"
Jim shrugged. "I have no idea."
"Me, either," H chimed in.
"What did you forget?" Daryl asked curiously as the anthropologist rejoined them.
Blair lifted his hand to touch the red poppy pinned to his shirt. "This."
Stunned to silence, they all stared somberly at the small symbol of commemoration before nodding and reaching for their wallets.
"Thanks for the reminder, Chief," Jim said softly.
